Does anyone else see the irony in liberals calling us “narrow minded” for not having the same views as themselves??

:hmmm:

I recently watched a “Real World” season in which one of the roommates (who is gay) spends about 4 episodes bashing another roommate and calling him “intolerant, narrow minded, and bigoted” for quietly choosing not to go to a gay pride parade. Even after the roommate politely explained that he was going to stay home from the parade because it went against his personal views regarding sexuality.

It was one of the most hypocritical and ironic, and not to mention idiotic things I’ve seen in my life.

Don’t these people realize what they’re doing??
This is something that really irrates me. I’m getting sick of the liberal agenda being the only “good” postion shown in the media. If someone doesn’t want to go to a gay pride parade that should be their choice. The gay person is the narrow minded bigot this time. Just my opinon:shrug:

And a very good opinion IMO. 👍

President Bill Clinton was on the Rachael Ray show about six months ago. Rachael Ray asked him if he were a superfigure, what power would he want. He responded, “to control the way people think.” Swear it is true-if I knew how to find it on youtube and link it here, I would.

This is correct, the “right thinking” person depicted is always the liberal.

And it always made me mad too, so don’t feel bad.

WOW!:bigyikes:

Stop calling them liberals.

They’re not liberals. They’re leftists.

True liberals want more freedom, and believe in freedom of speech. Leftists don’t.

Leftists will shut down anyone who disagrees with them. Just try to say an opinion they don’t like, in a place dominated by leftists, if you are at work. You will be out the door that afternoon.

I run into this mentality all the time. Usually I try to help people see the error in their thinking. It’s not easy though.

Often the response is: My ideas aren’t hurting anyone, yours are.

To which I respond: It hurts me when people tell me I’m stupid for believing in A/B/C. So, actually, your idea is hurting someone. The difference is I’m tolerating your error, whereas you’re trying to stamp out mine.

ABC is hurting your own soul, doing damage to God’s designs and purpose, faith, etc.

So I wouldn’t say it’s not hurting anyone. Emotional “hurt” doesn’t even really qualify as damage, it doesn’t seem. Note, that that’s not to say, that if I were not celibate, that I wouldn’t practice contraception: I probably would. But I’d know it to be a sin, and myself, a sinner (no more than I already am, though, in the Grand Scheme).

A/B/C was meant to represent idea A, idea B or idea C. 🙂 Sorry I wasn’t more clear.

Didn’t realize until after I posted that ABC is a form of birth control. 😊

In my defense I am a single lady who doesn’t think about such things as it’s very far from my current reality! Hahahaha.
When I first read your post, my first thought was what does birth control have to do with this? Then I realized, oh “view A, view B, view C”
