What exactly do you mean?

I am wondering how to understand and interpret Liberation Theology. Where do I start, with the Ecclesial Doctrines? With Liberation Theologians? Where?

What are some major proponents of Liberation Theology, and what do they say? I have only read one article about this movement and I am aware that it is decades old. It seems to appeal to minorities, but I am not a minority and Liberation Theology appeals to me.

So, what does the Church say about it officially? Are there any decrees, or statements about it? Do you understand what I am asking?

I would ask what exactly about liberation theology appeals to you?

Both John Paul II and the Holy Father have spoken out against it.
