Everyone around me worships withcraft or wicca but also are close to jesus … it sees everyone else around the world are doing the same thing … even in church people are involved with this … should i be part of this too?

No, you should not practice witchcraft. Close to Jesus? If they are doing that stuff then no, not really.

then why is everyone else doing it what about your thoughts on wicca ?

NO, you should not get involved. You need to cast your net in a wider circle because not “everyone else is doing it.” If you want to fish you need to use the right bait and such cults will only drag you into deep, dark waters. Don’t let these false worshipers tangle your lines. Stay Catholic, according to the TRUE teachings of the church.

Wicca is witchcraft and is sinful and dangerous. God explicitly forbids it in His Word, the bible. Anyone who says one can unproblematically mix faith in and worship of Our Lord with the occult is either dangerously deluded or massively uninformed or lying.

Stay away from the occult.

Your scope of “everyone” is very nieve.

New York is a big city and an even bigger state. Look up the Friars that live in the Bronx. They host Catholic Underground, in reference to the basement Chapel they worship in. I’ve driven an entire day to see them and it was well worth it.

Did you receive the Catholic sacraments? Yes. If so, you are Catholic. If you were an older child and did not receive the sacraments then you have a right (and duty) to attend RCIA to become Catholic if you wish to be able to fully participate in the church. (ie Marriage)

I think you quoted the wrong person. I was talking about the Friars in the bronx.

Well, you are Catholic then, welcome! Did you make your confirmation? If not, you’ll still want some time in RCIA.

Like I said, sounds like you’re in a bad crowd. Look up Catholic Underground. Find some new friends–and if your job is full of bad influences it might be time to look for a new one.

Besides heading down to Catholic Underground? Going on the Arch Diocese website? Unfortunately, the only part of NYC I know well is the Bronx…but it’s not that hard to get to.

How old are you now?
How old were you when you were adopted?
You seem to have a lot of questions, and it’s great that you’re taking these faith questions seriously.
Witchcraft? Please no. There is no such thing as magic or seeing the future-you accomplish things by hard work and taking the hard knocks that come along with it. Not by mixing herbs and chanting spells.
If you’d like a fairly easy introduction into the Catholic Church, may I recommend “Catholicism for Dummies” (part of the “…for Dummies” series of books).
Hugs and smiles to you on the way!

what do you mean by full of them? there are about seven million people living in NYC. do you mean that 90% (that would be about 6.3 million of the seven million) of them practice satanism, witchcraft or wicca?

Of course New York has Wicca and other Neopagans. It also has Orthodox Jews, Catholic Christians, Episcopalians, and many others. I’m not sure what the point you’re trying to make is.

My goodness, how uncharitable!

I lived in NY for nearly 15 years and in that time I met 2 people who were into Wicca.

But maybe I’m lying, too.

I attended a couple of Catholic Underground events (even though I’m older than who I think their target audience is) and I enjoyed it very much.

My parish on the UES had an all night vigil the first Friday of every month. There were always a lot of people in attendance. I really miss it.
