Just be clear:blush:

I am looking for any monsatery of any RC monks/nuns that fiollow the Rule of St Benedict

I have found a few, but I think that there are others. Thanks so much:cool:

To be clear, I am already attached to a Monastery.

I don’t want this to sound cold and calculating:(

but the Bennies there are getting older. No replacements (yet). I am checking it out “just in case”😦

PS-- I would never leave, unless I was forced to because it closed, BTW

Just an FYI update, but that is no longer true. There are four Postulants, two monks just graduated Novitiate and received Simple Profession, and I think three were Solemnly Professed. So fortunately Mount Angel Abbey is doing quite well, although you are correct that the older monks are by far the majority.

There aren’t any monasteries really close to you.

St. Andrew’s (Benedictine) is in Valyermo - saintandrewsabbey.com/Default.asp
New Camaldoli (Camaldolese) is in Big Sur - contemplation.com/

I think those are the closest. There are also Benedictines in Oceanside and Trappists at New Clairvaux and a woman’s community in Whitethorn but I’m not sure if they offer guest accommodations.
 
Monastery of the Risen Christ might be a wee bit closer than New Camaldoli. 🙂
