I enjoy his music as I enjoy most Christian music.
Do you have a problem with him?

No. But I’m currently in RCIA and I wanted to make sure noone would have a reasonable objection to his music

Its ok to listen to Chris Tomlin. we Catholics are Christians. Any song that is praising God is good in my humble opiniom

I’ve been listening to him almost every day for a while now.
He has beautiful worship songs!
I love “How Great Is Our God” !!

I’m an active catholic and I sometimes listen to an orthodox song:

The lyrics are not perfect for a catholic ear (different saint) but everything else must be inspired by god, I can see it no other way.

I also like Lindsey Sterling’s rendition of Hallelujah.

The Christian music is accepted because of many efforts to be what we call “ecumenical”

Please click the heart if you mean it :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

and generally speaking, no one does, nor for most other Christian artists. as long as there isn’t anything vehemently anti-catholic in a song, then it’s fine, beyond that, it’s up to personal taste

In many places, his music is even used at Mass. Yes, some folks have very strong feelings against this, but it’s not strictly prohibited. In any case, contemporary Christian music isn’t the only music played in Church these days that was written by Protestants (see: Amazing Grace). In my estimation, if the lyrics express things common to the author’s and the Church’s beliefs, as opposed to things they disagree on, where’s the harm?
