Literal Interpretation of Genesis?

BTW gravity is also only a theory, the scientific understanding of theory and the lay understanding are two different things. Evolution is a fact. The theory is the understanding of exactly how it works.

I am not trying to start any kind of flame war here, or judge anybody, but I am wondering if anyone here believes the things that I have posted.

  1. It is factually wrong because neanderthals are extinct and lived in the same period that cro-magnons i.e us did for a while. Hence we can’t be evolved from neanderthals. Apart from this minor unimportant detail it is possible that we evolved from an ape like creature. And that we are indeed primates like monkeys.
Cats are felines just as panthers, tigers, lions leopards but they are different from them!..and I don’t really think they care much. I think they look similar and probably evolved from one feline. Do I think we are better than any other ape or mammal? Of course. We can think about God and the transcendant and the afterlife animals can’t. That’s why we are made in his image! which doesn’t mean we physically look like Him.

  2. Same as 2) Only those who have little faith in the first place believe in the Genesis literally unfortunately! 😦 they obviously never heard of fides et ratio! Faith and Reason. 😉
  3. Literally? no. Matter could be interpreted as clay but is far fetched. We are made of the same things that stars are made of!!! Hence the song we are all made of stars no one can stop us now! don’t remember the author…
  4. No. Even though time doesn’t exist in Heaven! but just in this universe.
The genesis is a myth which entails a truth. Atheists think its just a myth. Problem is when people think that the Truth is a myth. Truth being Christ!!!👍

I don’t see why a creationist would believe this. Dinosaurs appear several times in the Bible.
