Literal second coming?

Is the second coming literal? In other words, will Christ literally come back to the Earth or is this just figurative?

According to both Scripture and Church Tradition, Jesus Christ is literally going to return, not as a baby as before, but as a Righteous Judge to judge the living and the dead. This is Church Teaching which is backed up by Scripture.

Yup, I think so…

Mk 13:26-27 And then they will see ‘the Son of Man coming in the clouds’ with great power and glory, and then he will send out the angels and gather (his) elect from the four winds, from the end of the earth to the end of the sky.

Mt 16:27 For the Son of Man will come with his angels in his Father’s glory, and then he will repay everyone according to his conduct.
