I had an idea for a small evangelizing tool and just wanted to share it with anyone interested.

I printed out business cards with the following text on one side:

If you are reading this, please know that each of the next seven days I will be praying for you. Whether your week is filled with blessings or whether things are really tough for you right now, remember that someone is praying for you daily!

God Knows & He Cares!

On the other side, I simply put God Bless You!

I plan to leave one randomly in places of business - waiting room, grocery store, restaurants.

I am already committed to regular prayer time each day so to add in a heartfelt prayer for anyone who has read the cards is very easy for me to do, as well as offering a decade of the rosary a few times weekly.

My thought is that very few will give it no thought at all; most who take time to read it will either be slightly curious, grateful (already Christian), or possibly annoyed. But in any of those cases it will likely spark a little interior dialogue through which the LORD can work.

I welcome any feedback, and certainly prayers for anyone who reads the cards!

This is a really good idea.
It plays an important role in Jesus’ words: “I will draw all men unto me”. (John 12:32)
The Holy Spirit can greatly use this.

Question for you all … now I’m wondering if I should get a fairly anonymous gmail address and add it to the card, something like, “You are welcome to e-mail me if you would like to talk to someone about faith.”

hmmmmmmm … unsure about doing that. What do you think?

Thank you all so much for the encouragement - I appreciate it! 🙂

Excellent idea about the business cards.

About the anonymous e-mail address…I think you should be OK if you have the time to read the emails and respond. I have a “throw away” gmail account I use just for things that require an email address on the internet. Then I have my “regular” gmail account for family, friends, bank accounts, bills, ect.

I think you might be able to answer some questions and help some people but just be prepared that you might attract some people who are going to attack you and/or say some vile things to you. It’s your call.

I’m not concerned at all about negative replies by e-mail; I learned long ago not to be drawn into quarrels with people like that, and it would tell me all the more how much they need prayer!

My biggest concern is the “time” factor - I don’t know how many people would actually write an e-mail with questions and I’d want to be able to respond well, not just half-hazardly. Thank you for pointing it out - I guess I’ll pray about that; I have a batch of cards already printed without it so I guess I’ll get rid of those first and decide on any changes later!

The labels on the preserves I sell at market to help family working overseas carry my email address and “Thank you for your support. We pray for you.” I do occasionally get a mail… maybe the fact that they have met me and made a purchase helps…

I’m hoping I find one of your cards in a place where I am one day!!!

god bless you !
