She is my patron saint, and she has helped me in many many many many ways.

She is my favorite Saint, and the one (other than the Virgin Mary) that I have a devotion to.

She’s amazing 🙂

Hi johnthebaptist2,

Yes, when I have asked for her intercession, she has always come through for me. She truly is amazing, as others have said. 🙂

Other than praying to Our Lord, most of my prayers are to the Blessed Virgin and to St. Therese of Lisieux. I have received many favors from St. Therese, especially granted my prayers for a deepening of my prayer life and spiritual life. Both St. Therese and the Blessed Virgin have always answered my prayers for an increase in devotion to Our Lord and deeper spirituality. St. Therese is my favorite Saint, after the Blessed Virgin. I read her biography at least once a year, and loan my copies of it to others who seem to need what she offers, especially those who suffer and need to submit more to Our Lord. It has seemed to assist a lot of people in a lot of different situations to learn more about her!

I too pray to Our Lady and St Therese of Lisieux,and found both have help me,and I also have read up on her,may others read up on St Therese.

Our Lady and St. Therese of Lisieux are a pretty tough combo to beat! 😉 I love some of the little stories about her. The novices and the older nuns of the community recognized the Saint’s rare gift of supernatural prudence and used to go to her privately to consult her. Sr. Genevieve of the Holy Face (Celine Martin) relates the following from her book “My Sister St. Therese”
One day, during Therese’s illness, I had shown a lack of virtue and was bitterly repenting the fault. “Kiss your crucifix,” said Therese. I obeyed, kissing the feet. “Is that how a child kisses her father?” she exclaimed. “Kiss His Face.” I did so, and then, following her request that I have Him return my caress, I tenderly pressed the crucifix to my cheek. “Now,” Therese said quietly, "all is forgiven."
Sr. Marie of the Trinity, O.C.D., Saint Therese’s favorite novice relates the following from the book “St. Therese of Lisieux by Those Who Knew Her” ;
***Her devotion to Mary was quite touching; she had recourse to her in all difficulties, and had me do likewise. In our counseling sessions, if there were things that I found rather hard to tell her, she would bring me over to the miraculous statue that had smiled at her when she was a child, and say: “It’s not me you’re going to tell what’s worrying you; you’ll tell it to the Blessed Virgin…So, get on with it.” She listened in to all I said, and when I had finished she would tell me to kiss our Lady’s hand. Then she gave me her advice, and peace returned to my soul. ***
These are just two of the more lighthearted reminisces of this remarkable Soul. But there are so many stories of how this Saint so lovingly took the time to pass on her wisdom so lovingly and patiently. Again from Sr. Genevieve of the Holy Face;
***“I often had cause to marvel at her wonderful spirit of renunciation in her contact with the novices, how patiently she listened to us and instructed us without ever seeming to desire any joy or distraction for self. No less remarkable was her disinterested zeal in the case of those novices who were less favorably endowed; towards them she always manifested the greatest affection. It was evident that she was never influenced by external appearances but always maintained a universal reverence for the soul for its own sake.” ***
“The Greatest Saint of Modern Times?”…She surely gets my vote! 👍

Peace, Mark

She is also a special saint for priests - it was her vocation (among others), while on earth to pray especially for priests. She also made it her daily mission to offer sacrifices to Our Lord where she could. She would seek out difficult or annoying situations, so to offer them to Our Lord. It was her personal & private path to.holiness - no grandiose displays of public sacrifice for her. She also seemed to seek no attention for herself at all, often assuming a lowly position where possible. Good lessons here for all of us, especially in our culture which states you should blow your own trumpet & seek your own happiness first & foremost in all things. 😊
