My friend and I are miles apart but spend a lot of time talking on the telephone.

As we cannot meet often, enjoy the Liturgy of the hours, but each married to non-catholic spouses who are not particularly interested. For the both of us, attending our respective Catholic Church to join in daily prayer is not convenient with work and other demands, so we do it by telephone.

A priest was recently amused the ‘Liturgy of the Hours’ is prayed by telephone. But how else can one do it!

I am interested to hear if anyone else observes the Daily Prayer of the Church by telephone 👍

Sounds lovely 😃

I believe there’s a group on here that does the St Bridget prayers (basically a form of Stations of the Cross) by web hookup.

Local call charges I hope? Even then they’d add up over time :bigyikes:

Sixtus,

I will echo the first respondent in saying hooray for you and your friend.

I know this isn’t the same thing, but my sister has the Rosary on her Blackberry and presses “Enter” on each “Amen.”

at the basilica shrine they have added morning and evening prayer daily, so we participated tonight with our oblate group (we are committed to Sunday evening vespers). Very interesting, entirely chanted, Spanish, English and Latin, about 50 people were there. worship aid was prepared with the psalms and chant tones, very helpful. Bishop has been trying to revive the practice, hope this helps familiarize folks with it.
