Liturgy of the Hours during Adoration?

I attend Adoration for one hour every Friday evening and was wondering whether it would be appropriate for me to say (inaudibly of course) the Liturgy of the Hours during Adoration. Or would the standing and sitting perhaps be disruptive to others in the chapel as well?

I’m new to the Liturgy of the Hours and still need to read the General Instruction, but I was just curious about this.

There is no problem concerning praying the Liturgy of the Hours during adoration.

Also as a lay person you are under no obligation to pray it in any particular way (unless you are praying it as part of a group.) If you do not want to stand up and sit down during certain parts that is up to you.

I have prayed the Liturgy of the Hours while riding subways, as a passenger in a car, on camping trips, in a restaurant, etc.

The motions may help you focus but what is important is that you pray it.

I pray the LOH during Adoration. I see nothing wrong with it.

What better way to pray than with the universal prayer of the church!

I often pray the Liturgy of the Hours during adoration. In fact, in front of the Eucharist is one of my favorite places to pray it! It cuts down on outside distractions for me.

I often attend a Sunday Vespers service which has exposition and benediction as well. I figure if it’s okay then, it’s okay anytime.

LOTH is very appropriate, either recited alone, or as part of a holy hour for a group
