Jesus calls us to love one another as the top priority.
What does that mean to you?
Where are you biggest challenges to love?

Mine are correlated to what seems to be my innate self-centeredness. I struggle mostly when anything that living love involves might be inconvenient for me.

My biggest challenges to love are my selfishness, my inadequacies, my laziness and my tendency towards despair. I also have a temper.

Am glad God is all powerful.
 
It’s a difficult world to love in. Just when I feel loving, someone slaps me the face, figuratively speaking. Hard to love when you’re mad at the world, or feeling rejected. Good practice for overcoming our pride though.

I forgot about “lazy” when I dont care to do something.

I just notice lately I have been feeling “put out”, inconvenienced. I realized it was an opportunity to love. That is, to deal with the situation with a different attitude. That might even mean honestly expressing the way I feel. But more often tapping into love and doing what is asked.

I am with you too, and I think my main struggle is with self-righteousness. I tend to be really judgmental and I struggle a lot with resentment
 
That is sort of our first knee jerk reaction. We seem to have to remember to love.
 
Living in love for me is to try and see each person as equal and having a soul…try and keep those thoughts to the fore that Jesus died for each.

I am striving to see that “all is love” and to accept every event and moment of every day as coming from the hands of a loving God, as God’s will for me. On the days I can do it, it is a real blessing of peace and trust. I’m also trying to observe what the saints tell us over and over, that custody of the heart–taking great care to preserve peace of heart centered on God in all situations–is the most important thing.
To live in love and pray always.
 
A clarification: Jesus asking us to love our neighbor, he did not speak of human love, but of the love of charity, which is something else.
In human love we love the neighbor for either our own human interest or to please our neighbor.
In charity, what is aimed at is not first to please the neighbor, nor our own interest, but the glory of God in us and in our neighbor. God is glorified in us when we love him to the point of wanting to sacrifice everything for his love.
 
Yes, we are not talking about infatuation or a possessive love but a self giving love.

agápē, love, i.e. affection or benevolence.

But to live in the love of Jesus and love as he loved, it is almost a supernatural gift.
