It is very hard to stand up for your beliefs in a way that is non threatening

I try to see God in the meanest and the most sneering about what scripture tells us we must do to gain heaven, and still not compromise what I am taught

If you say your are anti anything you are immediately told you are not acting in a Christan manner and you shouldn’t judge

I know if I am going to be loyal to anyone it has got to be God…Do you feel you pay a price for being a Christan?

Living in the “Bible Belt” I have to stand up for my beliefs quite regularly,…and I can’t remember ever having done so in a “threatening” way, I guess I misunderstood your statement?

I judge a lot of people,…I don’t however, as I’ve been taught to interpret the scripture; “condemn” them.

Yep,…this old path is pretty rough and narrow,…but I don’t mind a bit!🙂

I try to see people that make fun of me for standing up for the churches teachings on Gay’s and abortion, as children of God even if they don’t believe. I try not to answer hateful remarks with another hateful remark back to them

I don’t always succeed but I do try

Sounds to me like you’re doing fine.👍

Big time. I know exactly what you’re talking about. My co-workers come to mind. I withdraw from their silly antics on a regular basis. Too bad for me my supervisor is one of them.

Sounds like the way you see them is pretty close to the way God sees them RRT. That must be such a consoling thing to the Sacred Heart when you see them that way.

Not always succeeding in our replies to derogatory remarks is just a little reminder that we’re human.

But yeah I know what you mean. There are times where I just have to keep quiet because the most charitable thing I can think of saying at the time to someone mocking me is, “God bless you with a hammer !!”
