From this site:

No one should be harmed because they are gay or a different skin color or fat, etc.

Public schools have done great harm in not promoting civil behavior but too many stand in the way of proper discipline. I know a 12 year old student at a local public school. I’m told fights break out almost daily there.

Children need to be raised by both of their parents. They need good role models. Currently, there are very few to no good role models depending on where you live. That is a big problem.

It does not help that the global media promotes sex outside of marriage constantly. That celibacy is looked down upon for heterosexual and homosexual people. Self-restraint is never promoted as a good thing by the media. Instead, they promote the “If it feels good, do it.” mantra.

I remember the controversy over putting sex education in schools, and now, 1 in 4 teen girls have an STD. Single motherhood is the biggest cause of poverty in this country.

God bless,
Ed

If this man is the strong Catholic he claims to be, then he would not offer the shelter of his hotels to same-sex couples and provide an environment in which to accomplish their evil.
Using this logic, this man should also ban all people who commit any grave sin. That would include people who eat too much, get drunk, and fail to go to Mass on Sunday, among others. After all, these hotels, being lodging establishments, have restaurants and bars too. Thus they certainly enable people to commit all these grave sins, plus others as well. Such as shirking work and cheating on an expense account.

Would you be willing to discuss this statement in detail? Because I would.
Show me where the Church says the practice of homosexuality is not sinful. Show me where the Bible does not speak against the practice of homosexuality. The tendency towards homosexuality is not a sin. It is the practice of same sex, (homosexuality in practice) that is sinful.

I suggest you use this forum’s Search function if you want to learn more about this terribly overworked subject.

Deacon Ed B is absolutely correct.

Owners of restaurants and bars are already legally obliged to judge when a patron has had enough to drink. As for eating too much, failure to attend Mass on Sunday, shirking work or cheating on an expense account, none of those activities are tied directly to the use of a hotel room in the same way that sexual activity is. Sexual activity is, since the hotel room is the necessary apparatus one must use to have safe harbor in accomplishing the deed. The hotel room is merely incidental to any of the other sins.

Further, I wonder at the ease with which you minimize the importance of the sexual faculty, through which man is meant to participate in God’s creation. Equating having one wafer too many with the shameless and hedonistic abuse of the sexuality betrays a deformed set of priorities.
