Loneliness

In the dark of the night
Not a single person in sight;
Silence, not even a sound,
No one at all is around.

Deserted, abandoned, alone,
No computer, TV, or phone,
Inside myself, I feel vast emptiness;
My feelings are dominated by loneliness.

Lacking companionship, boredom controlling.
Overwhelming my sense of well being,
Not feeling cared about by anyone,
Leaves me feeling isolated, all alone.

But alone I definitely am not, for God is forever about.
I know that He is there, whether I sense Him or not,
He deeply loves me as only He can.
So much that for me He died as a man.

God’s Response

I love you, Oh yes I do,
I mean it, I really love you,
Regardless of where you might be,
Do not fear for there I will be.

Fear not, for I am always with you, fear not,
Regardless of whether you sense Me or not,
For you are completely surrounded,
My love for you is absolutely unbounded.

Open your heart completely to Me,
Inside I will come compassionately.
Filling your heart with My graces I do,
A small part of My perfect love for you.
