focusing on the passion or perhaps the sorrowful mysteries.

I have a friend who wants to teach a six week homeschool co-op class to Middle school students during Lent.

She wants something all ready put together that she can adapt instead of trying to put it together herself. The class is going to be a 1/2 class on the Passion/Lenten theme, and the 2nd half hours will be used for Bible drills or exercises to get the kids more familiar with the Bible in a fun way. My friend is responsible for the Lenten study part.

I’m having trouble finding anything for her. It seems like materials are out there for adults and a few for very young kids, but not middle school age (11-14 years). But, even a good adult study can be modified.

Help!

It is not Lenten, but, the Great Adventure Bible Study has a youth edition…

Fireside bible study for middle grades, the workbooks are about $5, any Catholic outlet that sells Fireside editions of NAB should have it

Gread Adventure bible study from Ascension press has several studies for elementary ages

Breakthrough Bible (GNT) from St. Mary’s press comes with an OT and NT workbook, and has side articles on bible personages, events, topics in the bible itself (pricey, bible is about $18, workbooks about $8)

Footprints is the new (2007) RE textbook from Loyola Press, and the 7th text focuses on the NT and has sections for Lent and Advent.
