I don’t know if this has been requested before, but I am looking for a good explanation of Catholicism and our beliefs, on the Internet.

The hope is to find one that explains in particular those beliefs which protestants abhor, in an easy-to-read manner with Biblical support.

I found this, which I thought was pretty good:

thecatholicfaith.co.cc/catholic/Booklets_files/TheCatholicFaith%20Core%20A4.pdf

However, it did contain certain parts that are not easy for non-native English readers to understand (e.g., the humor portions).

In this regard, the end intention is to translate the relevant website into another language.

Thanks in advance for any help in this regard…

Scripture Catholic is “one of the most comprehensive Catholic apologetics websites on the internet. ScriptureCatholic.com provides over 2,000 Scripture citations from the Old and New Testament that explain and defend the teachings of the Catholic Church. This site also provides hundreds of excerpts from the writings of the early Church Fathers (1st through 8th centuries). These writings explain the Fathers’ interpretation of Scripture and demonstrate that the early Church was unequivocally Catholic. Through the study of Scripture and the Church Fathers, we see that, not only is the Catholic faith biblical, Catholicism is Bible Christianity par excellence.”

I also like The Catholic Bridge – a bridge for Protestants to understand Catholicism.

The site map davidmacd.com/catholic/site_map.htm shows that there are some pages in French, Spanish, Bulgarian, Polish, and Chinese.

for a systematic catechism course on line catholic.net has Catholicism 101, which you subscribe to as an e-letter, I use it for some of my confirmation candidates who are on the road, oil rigs, away at school, etc.
all the segments are archived so you can accesss and study at your own rate, they are Q&A style with discussion

catholic.net/index.php?option=channel&canal=Catholicism 101&id=1&grupo=Church Teaching Q%26A

I have one here:

jmcrae.christian.net/

I own the copyright to all of the linked materials, so feel free to copy the whole thing and translate it into any language - the only condition is that the whole thing be free of charge to the end user: nothing on that site is to be sold or rented, and there should be no advertising of any kind attached to it.

Let me know where it ends up, so that I can add links to your translation sites. 🙂
