Please pray for my success as I look for a job. My world has fallen apart lately. (Many of you have been praying for my intentions with my ex-boyfriend. And I sincerely appreciate that.)
The job I thought I had back in May didn’t come through. Knowing that my contract was ending on June 30th, I went on the market late last year. (I’m an academic librarian and the cycles are strange and the process is long.) I have spent a lot of time having phone interviews, prepping presentations, traveling (often cross-country) for the in-person interview, often a day and a half affair, and nothing has come through for me. I lost out on a job to an alum of the college at one place, and to an internal candidate they didn’t make me aware of until the end of the interview at another. And in one instance, I was ganged up on by 4 or 5 people in one meeting because they didn’t like something I said, but rather than let me answer their concerns, they just kept talking over me. It’s been a very frustrating experience.
Then, my boyfriend broke things off as I was moving x-country to be with him. I’ve since had to move home.
I went on a date with a guy from match and he turned out to be a psycho and started harassing me and then two days later, I was in a car accident.
Finding work would be one of the steps for me to regain a footing in the world, I think. Please pray for my success in finding work with one of the applications I currently have out. And also, that things go ok with the insurance, etc., after the accident.
