I am looking for a good Catholic Bible in pocket form. The smaller the better. Any ideas?
Thanks.
Thanks.
If it is just a New Testament or a New Testament and Psalms pocket bible then any edition will do as the only place the Catholic Bible differs is in the Old Testament.
Baronius Press indicates (see the second link in my previous post in this thread) that they are working to print a pocket-sized Douay-Rheims translation which will include the complete OT and NT. They are also planning to print one that includes only the NT and Psalms. That is what I am looking for. A nice and compact Catholic Bible, the whole Bible, not just the New Testament. I haven’t found one yet.
. . . What I’d like is a vest pocket Jerusalem OT/NT.

Try the following links:
A vinyl, pocket-sized version of the New Testament, Confraternity edition.
I own, and have given as presents, several copies of this one – I really like it. It is NT only, though.
New Testament and Psalms (Douay-Rheims Bible) - Pocket Edition
The publication date for this one is only indicated as “forthcoming.”
St. Joesph NAB Translation New Testament(Pocket Edition)(NAB)
I’m not a fan of the NAB, but here you go.
St. Joseph Good News Translation New Testament (Pocket Edition)
I definitely don’t the recommend the GNT, but this one is still a pocket-sized “Catholic option”
I’m sure there are more too: try froogle.google.com, www.catholiccompany.com, etc.
By the way, I’ve looked diligently for a pocket-sized RSV-CE, or even an RSV (not New RSV) and cannot find one. ]
I hope this helps!

Many thanks for this lead. I’ve now found a copy. Great little book!If you check e-bay you may be able to come across a Douay-rheim version put out by the catholic truth society in the UK. Published , i guess through the 50’s, I was able to get mine for 12 bucks . What’s great is that it is a hardcover 3.5" X
5.5" X 2" fat little book. The cool thing about it to, is that it gives apologetic info throughout. . . .
