“Regarding the faith which they uphold, the ancient Rome has kept a straight course from of old, and still does so, uniting the whole West by sound teaching, as is just, since she presides over all and guards the universal divine harmony.”
Apparently this is from a text known as Carmen de Vita Sua - does anyone know where I can read the text of this work online???

If it exists online, it’s probably in the electronic version of the Early Christian Fathers. From a paper edition, I believe that St Gregory Nazianzus’s writings are contained in Series Post 2, Volume 7. However, it was (the ECF series) edited by some strong Protestants, who place sectarian notes throughout the work - the translations themselves are still sound, as far as I can tell (why put sectarian notes in if one mistranslates in a sectarian manner?), so they may not have translated something as obviously in support of what they would call as “Romanism” or “Papalism” (there are many Fathers and ecclesiastical writers they essentially skipped over, like Origen, while giving Augustine 8 volumes [in fairness, they gave Chrysostom 6 as well]). It’s still the best set of complete Fathers out there, especially for a decent price ($205 for 38 volumes on CBD), compared to the Ancient Christian Writers series (seventy or more volumes for $50 or more each: better translations, more complete, fifty times the price.

Link below: search the site if it’s not in that book.

If you are in the USA and have a library card, you can get it on inter-library loan, WorldCat:
