Looking for book recommendations

[PeterAgain]

I am interested in reading encyclicals, with commentary, and if possible with the original Latin text as well as an English translation.

I think that they’re all on the Vatican website (the text at least) but I like books more than printouts, and would like some commentary.

Can anyone recommend a book for purchase that has several of the “important” encyclicals and commentaries?

I don’t know which encyclicals I want to read about specifically, but I’m sure you will have suggestions.

Thanks!

God bless, brother.

Dr. Alan Schreck has recently written a book: **The Legacy of Pope John Paul II: The Central Teaching of His 14 Encyclical Letters **. It doesn’t contain the actual text of the encyclicals, but it gives some great commentary. You would need to purchase the encyclicals separately. Pauline Books & Media publishes hard copies of most of them. So does USCCB Publishing.
