As a former practicing Protestant I used to where religous ties all the time, like veggie tales, crosses and other sorts. I’m looking specifically for saints, divine mercy [particularly], San Damiano Cross, Tau, marian, etc. you know the clothing that makes non-Catholics gasp for air. Actually just really Catholic ties. I have all the eccumenical attire anyone could ever ask for and I’m not interested in just cross ties. I like to have some patterns with Eastern Catholic or Orthodox would also be great since I support Pope John Paul II, The Great’s hopes of the two lungs reuniting. I’d like to wear them liturgically. Clothing to inspire others and especially vocations.

Please give me some links that actually have the ties I speak of here. Thanks.

May I can get this going better by begging…Please help me locate some good Catholic ties. I have plenty of Protestant ties. I actually plan to wear this at Mass and special Catholic events. I’m not trying to push them in the face of our non-Catholic Christian brothers and sisters. I have all kinds of ties that I used the wear all the time that were very bland and bright Veggie Tales and sorts. I have enough of that and know where to get those sinceI used to practice a Protestant faith.

Click HERE - hopefully this link will still work. This is an eBay search for Catholic necktie.

EDIT - And don’t forget, just because something has an ichthys on it does not mean it is Protestant (in case you have one like this) - we Catholics are the ones who used that symbol first, they just stole it from us. 😃

Listen HERE for a quick snippet about that. 🙂

Thanks. Keep the infor coming. I went on an ICHTUS retreat when I was 15…and believe you me I know it’s Catholic. I’m a revert not a convert. I was shocked when I saw Protestants use the symbol. Guess the fallen away Catholics brought some of the Catholicism with them…EDITED…it’s Lent…I’ll leave the rest for after Lent. But I will say this ΙΧΘΥΣ is absolutely KATHOLICOS…Catholic. There is a non-denominational ecclesial community down the road that actually has a “Lord’s Supper” they call communion. We would stand in line and KNEEL! Now you know that there are Catholics there because that is directly what we do. In fact, that is scary on some levels. They even make the sign of the cross once in a while with the “Pastor’s” blessing. I had a FISH on my last SUV. But I know the history because I’m Catholic…really really Catholic. Which is redundant I know. But the point is that I wish the majority of Catholics would just pick up a bible, church fathers and even a history book. They see that the Catholic Church is the Church of Christ. it’s rather sad to me and the reason I want to where significant ties with new and ancient symbols on them. I actually stopped a catechist last Sunday and educated her because she is guilty of telling new Catholics and converts that the bible is not important to learn…I think she’s also the one that state “there are many paths that lead to heaven…” We are our own worst enemy.

Peace… Keep em coming please.

Oh BTW…a man that goes by the name “[intentionally left blank]” was the pastor or head over that institution that I attended the ICHTUS retreat in 1976. He is a laicized priest now. I know 2 that I can think of or that I actually know about. I’m looking for authentic Catholic catechombs, or something REAL…not just the symbols. I’m looking for the Saints, Divine Mercy, Rosary, Mother Mary, Pope, etc.

Good ones. But still looking for something clearly “Divine Mercy” and some others. I love the Fatima tie. I also like the “High Priest” tie and a few from the previous post.

The other website alos has some really good ties. Even one with the “Divine Mercy” Jesus on it, but I’d prefer the words “Jesus I Trust In You” on it. You know I told my wife I’d like to find a clerical sweater or shirt for our Franciscan Friar as a gift. He love’s the “Divine Mercy”. Keep posting as you find them…

If you lose this thread, think VOCATION without the “N”. VOCATIO is Latin for vocation. Real simple. Send it direct if you can’t find this link. Thanks.

Google Shopping came up with these for starters. Maybe by clicking on one of the leads you’ll see more from that particular company.

Wish I could help. Hubby and I own 3 Catholic stores and we go to the Catholic Market and have not seen any ties, probably because our priest wear vestments and not suits like non catholic pastors. But if I ever come accross any… Wonder if you could get some custom made?
