Our pro-life club on campus is assembling a pregnancy resource website for our fellow students and I am looking for post-abortive resources for both men and women. Finding websites isn’t the hard part, it is just I cannot discern which ones are sketchy. No doubt there are some fundamentalist programs that might cause more damage than good, but, I would not know that from a website. So, is anyone has any experience with this, I could use some help. Also, I am not looking for programs that simply view abortion as tragic, but, morally neutral.

I was with you until the “abortion is morally neutral” part. I understand what your intent is, but it can really cut down your resources depending on how you define morally neutral.

You might want to contact the Vitae Foundation. They approach abortion reduction through a consumer demand standpoint (i.e. how do we deal with why someone wants an abortion rather than simply a matter of right and wrong). They might have an idea of resources for post abortive care that meets your needs for resources that are morally neutral. I know the acting president so I can also hit him up to see if he knows of any resources that follows the same philosophy.

I’m not sure whether you understood my post as saying that I do not want places that think abortion is okay or whether I wanted morally neutral places. I want to avoid groups that shame people or disregard the life that was lost.

The following is a Catholic and Anglican cooperative network called Silent no More:

We already got Project Rachel and Rachel’s Vineyard down as we have met and worked with people from there and trust them. I went to the Silent No More Website earlier this morning and the format was kind of convoluted. Also, this is a secular campus, so, while something may be sponsored by a Christian group, I would be hesitant to put something named Priests for Life. We want people who are not necessarily christian to trust us for help. Not that I don’t like Priests for Life; thank you for posting that anyway.

For anyone else in this thread, our group also trusts Women’s Choice services. I am not sure whether or not it is national or only in Illinois, but, we met with someone from there and find them trustworthy.

I think it would be very rare that a group that specifically ministers to post-abortive women would do this.
