Looking for Pro-life slogans for March for Life posters made by kids

Hi there!
I’m an elementary school teacher in a Catholic school. My lesson plan says I can have kids make prolife posters.

I’m going to the March for Life in DC in two weeks, and i would like to take my student’s posters/signs to carry at the March.

Here’s my question:

Does anyone have ideas for teaching pro-life that is age appropriate for third graders?

Any ideas of what to put on these posters/signs?

CHOOSE LIFE.
Choose Life. Your Mom did.

One idea is Pro Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness, (because we are studying US History).

One time we (my college’s SFL) were praying outside a clinic as part of 40 days, and the group before us had left a big rubbermaid of signs. A lot of them were good, but one of them said something like “birth control or self-control? Abortion = Murder” in big capitals. Witty, OK, but not the sort of thing a frightened 16yo needs to see on her way into PP. “I feel morally obliged to destroy this sign,” my friend said, and we unanimously agreed.

Anyway, not a good idea for a kid’s sign. I like your “Pro- Life, Liberty, etc.” idea, though; that’s really good.

In general I’m not a big fan of “choose life, your mom did” or “smile, your mom chose life” because most times, the older mom was in a different situation. For example, my mom is married to a good man with a salary and it wasn’t a problem when she was pregnant with me; whereas if I were pregnant – I’m in college, not married – it would be a totally different story. Not saying abortion would be OK in my case, just that it’s a much more difficult situation.

What about a big blown-up picture of precious feet and “eight weeks after conception” or “seven months till birth”?

My friends have a sticker on their car that has a drawing of a fetus and it says “save the baby humans!”

“Choose life” is always good.

depending on the maturity level of your 3rd graders, you could try this in bold black or red print:

IF HE’S NOT ALIVE,
WHY IS HIS HEART BEATING?

IF HE’S NOT A HUMAN BEING,
WHAT KIND OF BEING IS HE?

IF HE’S A LIVING HUMAN BEING,
WHY IS IT LEGAL TO KILL HIM?

CHOOSE LIFE.

Like, I said, it depends on how much your students know and how much they can handle. But I personally think it’s a good slogan nevertheless. Good Luck!

This is probably too much for elementary kids…idk…but its a good point…

To have the right to do a thing is not the same as to be right in doing it.

There are so many on here that I think are appropriate for my kids.

I’ve always thought “Unborn children are part of the family too” is all inclusive. My parents used to have that on the back of our car, and people would comment on it all the time!

It also teaches children that the child in the womb is their brother or sister!
