Well-read people, I’m looking for suggestions on books on the history of Indian Christianity, about St Thomas Christians and evangelization of Indian people by Christians.

Also looking for books on culture and social life of “Anglo-Indians”, in India and in Kolkata. Hope someone can advise.

Please note, though, I’m looking for books with good language, not dry textbook-style writing.

Your best bet is to google it and type in your key words on amazon and other websites.

Wikipedia in general is a great beginning place but I wouldn’t use it as my main source of information since they are not known by academics for being 100% reliable. When looking for a book, I would look at the author’s scholarship to ensure it is an academically sound book since not all books published provide accurate information.

Furthermore, avoid blogs because they are not academically sound either at least most of them. I know some professors will write in their blogs but some of those can be difficult to find.

Thanks, Jamma, but I don’t know if Wikipedia would be a credible source of information. I’m really looking for books.
I am a St.Thomas Christian myself. I assure you that the information given in the following websites is correct.
