surprised OP nor anyone else has linked the original article in the OCE on the Holy Ghost
oce.catholic.com/index.php?title=Holy_Ghost
I don’t find here anywhere, stated as doctrine (rather in the sections challenging incorrect teaching) OP’s statement that the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Trinity.
Read especially section IV the Procession.
Can OP please find the passage in question that states it that way?
If you open up the link which you have provided here above in quote , an introduction to the
common errors explains the teachings… Here we find directive " Holy Spirit, proceeds not by way of generation but spiration from the Father and Son… I believe this is acknowledged in prayer as well…here is the intro to the matter we are speaking of sourced.through your provided link …:

The doctrine of the Catholic Church concerning the Holy Ghost forms an integral part of her teaching on the mystery of the Holy Trinity, of which St. Augustine (De Trin., I, iii, 5), speaking with diffidence, says: “In no other subject is the danger of erring so great, or the progress so difficult, or the fruit of a careful study so appreciable”. The essential points of the dogma may be resumed in the following propositions: The Holy Ghost is the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity. Though really distinct, as a Person, from the Father and the Son, He is consubstantial with Them; being God like Them, He possesses with Them one and the same Divine Essence or Nature. He proceeds, not by way of generation, but by way of spiration, from the Father and the Son together, as from a single principle. Such is the belief the Catholic faith demands.

Note: Generation : would be defined as “procreation”
Spiration: is an unusual word not found in all dictionary’s Websters show… “Spirant” : formed by constriction but not total closure.Spiral Path is a common term implying advance.

I encountered the issue with respects to definition spiration about 6 weeks ago when I was looking into this. However the term used is clearly “proceeds” from the Father and Son by way of “Spiration”…

Googled searched definition spiration and a 1913 Websters shows…the act of breathing.
Can you let me know if this helps or…if I’m missing something?

If perhaps the complaint is that I described The Holy Spirit proceeds from the
Trinity …rather than The Holy Spirit proceeds from God.
If The Holy Spirit is proceeding from God…God would BE The Trinity.

If this is the item thats being asked about… . Although, Elder puzzleannie comment referred to similarities in improper teachings. So this is most confusing.puzzleannie.

Ok so lets see here…The Holy Spirit “Proceeds” from the Father and the Son.
I said in a question, we understand The Holy Spirit Proceeds from The Trinity.

How in the world (respectfully) could that be seen as similar to im-proper teachings. The meaning in context of question is equal.

The Trinity would be God The Father , The Son, The Holy Spirit.

The definition of …proceed, 'make ones way"

In order to make ones way, one would be from… that of which it came.(The Trinity)

Obviously I should of said, The Father and The Son. However, in context proceed’s plural form, I am saying the same.

Can we find out how the wording used is further similar to im-proper teachings as reported in
your entry puzzleannie? .

Above quote is very clear in intent :
  1. You have caused myself great upset, and Ive got an important thing to do tomorrow
  2. I Started This thread and called it “looking forward to thoughts”… concerning Love Of God
  3. I was the one asking if I had it right and now there is an inference that my thinking is
“challenging correct teachings” by requesting that I produce the data…
" I don’t find here anywhere, stated as doctrine (rather in the sections challenging incorrect teaching) OP’s statement that the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Trinity"

All because I said the word Trinity instead of God and The Son… Also.,it was in a question which did not “concern” exactly this mistake in wording yet…

I am being held to account for something when it was myself who was asking? How can this
be puzzleannie ?..how?

Throughout thread I asked for no arguing because it is a dis-respect to subject at hand!

Tell me …why wouldn’t the issue be brought forward in a Christian manner such as…
Code:
You mentioned The Holy Spirit proceeds from the Trinity, I believe the teaching is The Holy Spirit Proceeds From The Father And The Son...?
I am very upset by being “cornered” to produce back up for something which I was asking
for info…not to mention the inference of challenging teaching…what can I say

This is very wrong ! Unbelievable in a thread of this nature…Unbelievable
