“We cried out to the Lord. He listened to us and sent an angel.” [Numbers 20:16]
“He will send an angel ahead of you.” [Genesis 24:7] “He will put you in His angels charge to guard you wherever you go.” [Psalm 91:12]

My Angel, when I am confused and struggling to do or say what God may wish, please guide me.

When I ask you, like Blessed Pope John 23rd, to go ahead to prepare the way in a difficult situation, please go. When I ask you to go to the angel of another to speak, explain, or conciliate with them, please do…for the Lord has proclaimed that “He will send an angel ahead of you.” [Genesis 24:7]

My Angel, when I make mistakes that offend others despite my good will, please intercede for healing and resolution. When I ask you to carry my repentance, to ask pardon and restoration of another person for me, when my own attempts fail, please go to them.
When I ask you to carry my genuine love to others please do.

My Angel, are you always listening, guiding and guarding me? Are you with me to supply the love and honour that I fail to offer God? I implore that you will.

I sometimes wonder how can you bear the company of one so imperfect, and frequently engaged in things that can be of no interest to you? How can you bear to be with anyone who has so little idea of God and such poor witness of God, who so little realises the value of the soul and gifts offered to me through Jesus, God and man? Yet you are there always by my side.

God Himself placed me in your care, so I beg you for the fullness of angelic solicitude at every moment of my life. Please guard me against danger and evil influences and attack, for the Lord has promised, “He will put you in His angels charge to guard you wherever you go.” [Psalm 91:12]

In the end lead me to Him who redeemed me, and plead for His mercy for my soul.
 
I revised this prayer from my journal, dear J, hoping to cover more of your needs. Anything that seems vaguely critical, don’t take personally. Like most of my prayers I wrote it in dealing with my own faults and failures, and in my search for God…in fact, my faults are plain for all to see who read my prayers, as those written about any kind of battle were written out of my battles.

as we forgive those who trespass against us
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Jesus please continue to support and strengthen our brother in his months of need. In his isolation, help him to benefit from our prayers and to know that You, and we, are there to support him. Please help him to bring his life on track and to work towards a better and happier future. Please protect him from all harm

May I ask your prayers for J, who is very much isolated and facing court in a few months. He’s lost his job, his girlfriend, has no family support. He’s repentant and scared.

May I ask prayers for him, that he will experience God’s loving presence and will receive all the graces God wishes for and through him. And that his repentance and good-will helps to mitigate the consequences of his actions, in his sincere efforts to reform his life.

Thank you all very, very much for your much needed prayers. Right now is a dark time in my life, and I am thankful to everyone that has offered my a bit of light, especially Trishie who I have never met but consider a dear friend. Thank you again.

I just wanted to thank everyone again for your thoughtful prayers on my behalf. Trishie especially has been a special help during my difficult time, a time of much isolation and fearfulness. I realize that everyone has problems and trying times, and I just appreciate those who have put aside their problems in order to help me with mine. Thank you all again.
