Lord, rebuff the evil one, guide us to holiness

This morning I feel oppressed by feelings of despair, Lord. I know You are there to assist in all we do and desire in You. Yet, the enemy assaults even Your holy ones.

St. Michael defend us in the battle against the evil forces which attempt to block us from Our Father’s graces. May we know your vigilance in our defense, and may I, small as I am amongst those who seek holiness, be filled with the fortitude to overcome these nightmares against grace and sleep in peaceful knowledge and hope in our Lord. Amen.

Fortify me with the grace of Your Holy Spirit and give Your peace to my soul that I may be free from all needless anxiety, solicitude and worry. Help me to desire always that which is pleasing and acceptable to You so that Your will may be my will.
