Hi, I am new to the Los Angeles area. I live in West Hollywood specifically. I need to find a good orthodox Catholic Church. I can’t find one! Does anyone know of a good church in this area?

How is the one in Beverly Hills? I live right down the road from that one.

haha, this figures. no one could tell me one single good Catholic parish in the area. But I found one, I have to go Eastern Catholic. Which I like anyway.

Theologically, I can’t comment, but liturgically, the Saturday afternoon anticipated Sunday Mass at St. Victor’s in West Hollywood is pretty good. It employs Gregorian Chant, and one kneels to receive Holy Communion.

Good Shepherd in Beverly Hills is pretty bad. It’s painful watching them try to incorporate inclusive language on the fly.

Ss. Peter & Paul in Wilmington (quite a drive) is excellent.

Go to latinliturgy.com to see the list of Tridentine Masses in the L.A. Archdiocese. On the 4th and 5th Sundays of the month, it is offered at St. John Vianney Chapel just west of downtown L.A. Excellent Mass and excellent celebrant/homilist in Fr. Robert Bishop.
