Loss of faith - Prayers needed

A friend’s son-in-law is losing his faith. He’s had some ongoing health issues and other struggles, feels that God doesn’t care about him, and is unable to see the many blessings around him, such as his loving wife and in-laws who love him dearly and would do anything to help him.

If you would be so kind, please say a prayer for Paul and his family.

Dear Lord please let Paul know that You love Him, and that the love which his family has for him comes from God.

O Silent God
Our God, we pray to You for others and ourselves, and sometimes it seems, if only for a time, a time of awful pain and loneliness, that no one is listening, that You are not there.

Many have turned away, disappointed and bitter, that You have not answered their urgent prayer, their painful need for self and for others. There is no satisfactory human answer to their challenge, whatever one might say of Your ways, Your time, because their anguish or their anger is the reality they experience.

Dear God, You need no reminder, but we are human in our minds and hearts and bodies. We have little or no actual sense or knowledge of ourselves as spirit. Please touch us as human beings living in this physical world that we acutely experience, and prevent us from losing faith and hope in You. I pray for those who suffer doubt, with all my heart and life.

O silent God let us recognise Your voice in the words of others, and let us be Your love spoken to them. Yet may I ask that You also speak directly to their hearts and minds with unmistakeable Love even where we cannot detect the action of Your Spirit in ourselves or in others. Speak to them in their last moments, if not before.

Please be mindful of our needs, and nurture us as we pray and seek Your healing and care. Embrace all who have lost their hope in God and prayer.
 
Praying for Paul and his family.

Please Lord, open the eyes of Paul’s heart and let him see all the good around him from You. Wipe away the darkness and let Your light shine bright in his soul. Amen.

Father God be near to Paul. Help him see you in his suffering and remind him of your ever presence with him. Surround him with your holy angels to speak words of encouragement of faith and I bind those that speak lies to his mind. I pray all in Jesus’ name. All glory, honor and praise be to you Lord! AMEN!

O Holy Child Jesus, who shed Your blessings on whoever invokes Your name, look kindly on us who kneel humbly before Your holy Image, and hear our prayers. We commend to Your mercy the many poor and needy people who trust in Your Divine Heart. Lay Your all powerful hand upon them and help them in their needs. Lay Your hand upon the sick, to cure them and sanctify their suffering; upon those in distress, to console them; upon sinners, to draw them into the light of your divine grace; upon all those who, stricken with grief and suffering, turn trustingly to You for loving help. Lay Your hand also upon all of us and give us Your blessing. O little King, grant the treasures of Your divine mercy to all the world, and keep us now and always in the grace of Your love! Amen.
 
Dear Lord, help Paul to know your undying love for him. Let him experience you in a new and special way and regain his faith in you. Help his family to keep strong during Paul’s lapse of faith and help them bring the light of Christ to Paul to help clear away his doubts of faith. I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

O glorious St. Joseph, thou who hast power to render possible even things which are considered impossible, come to our aid in our present trouble and distress. Take this important and difficult affair under thy particular protection, that it may end happily. (For Paul’s faith and for his family.)

These challenges in his life have caused him to question his faith and to fail to appreciate his Holy family and loved ones. Lord, we pray for this man Paul that you may have mercy on him and send your Holy Spirit to call out to him and help him to appreciate all the good in his life, to strengthen him in his time of suffering so he can carry your Cross with grace and courage, and to call him back to you in a manner that he hears and responds to very soon. We pray for his loving family who has persistently asked for your intervention in this situation and on behalf of dear Paul. Lord, we know you love Paul and his family and want them to be with You for all time, please grant Paul a strong faith and hope in You, and bless him with the ability to rise above these temporary challenges in his life and to love you, his family, and his neighbor with all the love you will for him to share. Please give Paul’s family the fortitude and energy to continue to pray persistently and to show him the way by their example. We pray that this family may have peace and joy in their relationships with each other and with You, O Lord.
