I am not sure you should include yourself in there, kaycee, with all those other sacramental things.Actually, that is a problem. There are so many outs as to render the rules somewhat meaningless.
IE “Desire of Confession” without sacramental absolution
The Baptism of desire,
Baptism of Blood,
Invincible Ignorance.
“I desire mercy, and not sacrifice”.And what is this recognition based on? In other words where are these “outs” found?
kaycee, I marvel that you are here on the forum. I think you have some entrenched conflicts left to work out with your relationship to the Catholic Church. You do not come asking genuine questions in a sincerity to learn, but make snide, sarcasting, and accusatory comments. Your actions are consistent with the one who is “the accuser of the brethren”. Nevertheless, I hope that you will, indeed, find all the answers here that your soul obviously craves so deeply. Perhaps you will not die in invicible ignorance after all!
kaycee has a real axe to grind against the Catholic church because he did not discover God within it’s walls. Now, he will accept nothing Catholic, including Christ! Why do you deny God’s mercy when Scripture is so overflowing with examples of it?
One example, kaycee, is that you are permitted to post your anticatholic venom on this forum. RC theology tells us to love our enemies, and to pray for those who persecute us. To respond to the ignorant with gentleness and kindness. Although I personally may fall short, you can clearly see that CAF provides an opportunity for you to grind your axe here daily. Now that is mercy!Who is denying his Mercy? I just asked for a source of the caveats in RC theology.
