I can’t wait for October 4th, especially since watching the 2nd season all over again. I was pleased to see Desmond will be returning for season 3. His character is very interesting, and so far his story one of the most touching. That backstory scene in the season 2 finale of he and Libby, when she gave him the boat, the “Elizabeth”, that belonged to her passed-on husband. That was so heartbreaking.

I hope they will tell us what the big foot of a broken statue, that Jin, Sun and Sayid saw from the sailboat, signifies. Their likely to not mention it again, the same way they did with the “Black Rock” from season 1.

This show is plagued with slowness, but I actually don’t mind it. Maybe it will stick around for a while.

I just hope this year, the writers don’t feel the need to stick in a load of erroneous theology, like they’ve stupidly done in the past.

I just don’t see how Desmond could have made it. Although, they never did show us exactly what happened when he pushed that button underground. Do you know?

Now you’ve whetted my appetite.

Not for season 3 but for the last 2 episodes of season 2, one of which is tonight.

We in the UK can’t keep up.

As far as I can tell just from reading other sources, he’s scheduled to be on the show for Season 3, but as far what really happened I don’t have a clue. 🙂

Lost is going to loose me this season if they don’t move any faster.

After watching the DVD season collections, its pretty tempting to not watch it on network TV at all. I can’t handle the way these shows today run a few new episodes, then skip several weeks. Hard to keep up.

I’m stoked! I was going to rewatch both Seasons 1 & 2 but since there’s only 2 weeks I don’t think it’s gonna happen.

The four-toed foot was a tribute to the greatest show of all time - The Simpsons. 👍

I thought the Black Rock turned out to be the ship where they got the dynomite. Of course I don’t recall anymore about how it got there.

As far as Desmond goes - if he’s gone, then Locke & the ‘priest’ (can’t recall his name). But if they all are, I’m sure they’ll be in flashbacks.

I have not decided whether I am going to watch them on tv now or do what I did last year and wait for the dvds to come out. I actually enjoyed season 2 more than season one and did not find it to be too slow. I do admit I think it needs to start dwindling down this season and get close to an ending sometime in the next year. I don’t think it should go on for more than 4 seasons.

Supposedly, they’re going to run several in a row starting in October then break for the holidays (Thanksgiving through part of January?) and run a whole bunch in a row next year.

What I like about the dvd’s is you can see them in widescreen and watching them back to back without commercials is like watching a movie.

This morning I listened to the Official Lost Podcast for July 31st and learned some interesting details. (ll.media.abc.com/podcast/lost/Lostpodcast_22top_direct.mp3
abc.go.com/primetime/lost/podcasts/111248.html)

This season, new episodes will be aired in 2 distinct pods – one this Fall and one next Spring – for a total of 13 new episodes. There will not be the annoying mixture of new episodes and repeat episodes.

The producers have a distinct view of the big picture – the mythology of the island, the monster, the others etc – from which they will not deviate. However, many details are more dynamic. Character interaction, for instance, may change as they watch the actors and characters interact. For example, Michael & Jin were intended to be enemies (remember the big fight scene?). Because of the natural synergy between the 2 actors, they decided they become good friends to the point of sailing away together on the raft.

Interestingly, the producers do have a view of a limited number of seasons. They want to tell a story and not go beyond the big picture to the point that they are just writing off the cuff with little relation to the grand design.

Go with Love, Go with God!
