I figured I would ask two questions here. Here I go.
In studying the Sarum Rite, I read they still had many sequences for various feasts. The video of Candlemas on Youtube in the Sarum Rite had a commentary (not on Youtube) that Candlemas still had a sequence in the Sarum Rite. Are there any remaining texts or scores of sequences the Church surpressed? Why did Pius V abolish these sequences?
Randomly and unrelated, someone here once mentioned that Pius- either X or XI or XII- wanted to make rose the liturgical color of Advent but changed his mind/ was pursuaded not to. Does anybody know more about this or is it not true?
