I recently read Lay Seige to Heaven by Louis de Wohl which was amazing. I started reading The Living Wood and was rather surprised at some of the language. Though it’s mostly “d**n”, there is a b word and an a word which I’m pretty sure were referring to the respective animals that were referred to as such in those times.
I’m just curious how Catholics feel about reading this? The book is sold by Ignatius Press which is a great company and he’s written other good saint books and was a Catholic concert so I’m probably overreacting.
I guess it’s just the language they would have used during the times?
