How do you love God?

I know this sounds stupid, but… recently I’d decided that the truest form of love is “agape” which I took to mean “I want what’s best for you no matter what it does to me.” But what’s best for God? God doesn’t need me.

So how do you love God?

I’m lost. Somebody help me.
 
There are many ways to say “I love you”. Think of the many ways we show our love to ourselves, people, animals and things.

Just think for a few moments.

The very same way we love ourselves, others, animals and things we love God.

I love Mister Roger’s very special song about love. There are Many Ways :love:

The most important way I show that I love God is by singing praise to Him.

Making an effort to know Him is very important too.

Agreed.

We love God by telling Him we will obey Him no matter what the cost to ourselves. Another aspect of this is seeking God before we seek anything else, even the good things that God gives us. It means persisting through periods of dryness, because this is our way of telling God, “I love You more than I love the feelings of peace and joy I sometimes get when I pray, and I will continue to spend this time with You even when I no longer experience peace or joy in prayer, even when it seems like prayer does me no good.”
