Can somebody tell me if this is correct with respect to Catholic theology:

Proposition: All love comes from God. When we love, we share in the love of God for a person. We then refashion that purer love towards our human condition, needs, and contexts. So, in the sense of loving one’s wife, you share in God’s sustaining love for her and your human nature refashions that experience towards the human institution of marriage. When you love your friends, you do something similar. Love of your children would represent the greatest fidelity with God’s pure love.

Thus, as a person grows towards God, they pass through several stages of love. They first love their mother and father as a child. They learn to receive sustaining love from another. They then learn to love their brothers and sisters. Later they learn to love in the context of friendship. Next they learn to love their future spouse. Then to give sustaining love to their children. At each step, they progress from learning to receive love towards complete self-giving and sustaining love.

Ideally, they would progress towards love of their community. Then to love even their enemies, which leads to love of all humanity. Lastly, having these experiences, they are able to truly love God. And the only reason we can love God is because of the Trinity, which embodies love. The love between Father and Son, embodied by the Holy Spirit.

The ultimate destination is to somehow participate in the love within the Trinity.

The Trinity is God’s Infinite Love for Himself, as Himself, in Himself.

A human being is created in the image of God, able to love by participation in God, and with free will.

God’s Children of Love participate in the Infinity of God’s Love for Himself, as His creatures with immortal souls, in Union with God.

The following is one paragraph only from “A Letter of George to James for Christmas of 1999.”:

The mystery of human free will is being increasingly manifested now and in this Christmas letter of mine to you the subject of that mystery is being introduced. As has come from my pen in the past, that God’s Holy Scripture is infinite and it will be revealed for all eternity, so now do I introduce to you your own awareness of what you are experiencing interiorly in regards to “unless you become like little children…”. God is not violating your free will in drawing you into the reality, of you becoming like the little children that John Mark and I already are. He is in fact accomplishing His own Will through you and without violating your free will which he gave you. You will now recognize the reality that discernment is found in love and in God’s Church Authority. It is in love that God accomplishes His own Will, by awaiting your assent to His Love, after which He wills His Will right through your free will. Love opens up the mystery of human free will upon the assent of that human to God’s love. And that assent is the relinquishment of all sin, the relinquishment of all self-will, the relinquishment of self. “Unless you become like little children…” He has shown to you, and your assent to His love becomes manifest to you more and more clearly. You recognize more of Saint Peter’s statement of “To whom shall we go, Lord? You have the words of eternal life.” You have experienced His love, James, and to whom shall you go?

Albert Einstein:
A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.
