It can be extremely time consuming , depressing,confronting,for family members to give personal care to elderly family members,
But if handled in the right environment , it can work, one such family I knew had a large well fenced house Block,with nice gardens,Nice garden settings with lots of plants trees & Scrubs where there parent could wander around safely , was not till they were no longer Mobile that the parent went to alternative accomodation ,
Plus had a carer stay if they wanted to spend time away,
But unfortunately not everyone has such an accomodating family home,
It’s a tragic situation suffering dementure and other issues
