Is it allright to celebrate the Solemnity of All Saints (nov 1) in a low mass? This morning i attend the mass but i am really sad that the Holy Mass lasts for only 45 minutes and it is a low mass. i am expecting a high mass for it is a solemnity.

I am also sad that the most of All Saints day masses are to be celebrated in cemetery and not inside the church in which we celebrate the saints day and not the deads day.

Yes, its o.k.

In the United States, All Saints may be a solemnity, but its also an ordinary work day(unlike in Europe or other Catholic nations). It can be difficult enough for many folks to get out of work for an hour, much less a longer period of time

High mass would require an even larger time commitment from the schola or choir as well, and since you’re talking of tridentine mass, tridentine mass communities draw their folks from a 50 or 100 mile radius, adding to the time commitment on a day they still have to work 8 hours.

If you think its a really good idea for high mass on All Saints and other solemnities, make sure that you volunteer for the choir and talk to others in the church to get it organized.
