the original language of the Gospels is Greek
All of the gospels were originally written in Greek.
That is what you say. His Holiness Patriarch Shimun XXI Eshai says differently:
“With reference to… the originality of the Peshitta text, as the Patriarch and Head of the Holy Apostolic and Catholic Church of the East, we wish to state, that the Church of the East received the scriptures from the hands of the blessed Apostles themselves in the Aramaic original, the language spoken by our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and that the Peshitta is the text of the Church of the East which has come down from the Biblical times without any change or revision.” (April 5, 1957)
As you know, the Peshita Bible was written in Aramaic. This has been confirmed by George Lamsa of the Aramaic Bible center.
Also please read:
Torrey, Charles Cutler (1912) the Translations made from the Original Aramaic Gospels.

Yes, and there is literally no manuscript evidence of this anywhere. So until someone demonstrates that there is actually is an Aramaic text that precedes the Greek Manuscripts or disproves the telltale signs of translation that actually exists in the Coptic, Syriac and other translation lines, I am going with the Greek manuscripts being the originals. That being said, the only book of the New Testament scriptures that is rumored to have been originally written in Aramaic (and I stress the word rumored because ancient witnesses are conflicting) is Matthew. And again, since you are speaking about Luke, who was a Gentile writer, his manuscript definitely was originally written in Greek.

Thank you for your explanation. Could you provide some explanation also for the other point I made, regarding good things and bad things?
Where I live there is this saying that everyone has his own cross to bear, meaning his own difficulties, sufferings, death of members of the family, illnesses, cancer … so can these be some of the crosses Jesus wants us to bear? But then when a person suffers we say that it’s not God’s will, that God is good, we tell the person to trust in the Lord… the suffering thing that is around Christianity so much doesn’t make sense to me. Does a illness or incident or whatever bad event come from the will of God or does it not? I can’t accept the answer only good comes from God, yes this is true but the bad things? If the good comes from God the bad things must come from him also

hy Jesus is telling us we have to hate our mother, father, siblings ?

I’m pretty confident the word hate doesn’t mean really to hate them but I don’t know what is the meaning here. Maybe that we don’t have to put them before Jesus? Like, Jesus first, family second?
Yes…

We are to Love and Honor our Parents - however if push comes to shove - it is God we must Obey

Remember anneramones.

The words “love” and “hate” have MULTIPLE meanings in many societies.

Someone might “love” ice cream. And if they said that, you would KNOW what they meant.

Someone else might “hate” limburger cheese.

And you would know contextually that they do not “hate” limburger cheese in a moral sense.

Likewise “hate” can be hyperbolicly used as a priority. An extreme priority.

In this case we EXTREMELY prioritize God even over self, family, and friends.

Hope that helps.

God bless.

Hat tip for the above information to my Priest.

Exactly! There is no such word as “unprefer”, but if it existed, it would be a good translation of the Greek verb “misein” in this saying. In the Greek Old Testament, the Septuagint, it’s the verb used in connection with Jacob and his two wives. He prefers Rachel to Leah. Or, to put it the other way around, he “unprefers” Leah to Rachel. But he doesn’t hate Leah. He just unprefers her, that’s all.

Gen 29:31

ἰδὼν δὲ κύριος ὅτι μισεῖται Λεια ἤνοιξεν τὴν μήτραν αὐτῆς Ραχηλ δὲ ἦν στεῖρα
