Of course, the 12 apostles were the first priests, bishops, (and archbishops, patriarchs, cardinals). Now, all New Testament writers were apostles; save, so far as I know, Mark and Luke. Were they ever ordained, priests, consecrated bishops?

Tradition says that Mark became the first Bishop of Alexandria and basically founded the Church in Africa.

I don’t think tradition has Luke becoming a priest or bishop. He was supposed to have been a physician and an artist, and a companion of Paul in Rome.
