Ok I have read parts of this encyclical. Not as popular as Humana vitae and such but what are we to do? I guess, for the laity, what is the message as to our new responsibilities to God and the Church? It’s a little tough for me to understand.
 
Read it slowly and try to drink in …meditate on it.

One can say that it is largely the work of Pope Benedict XVI - and added to by Pope Francis before he issued it. It is a good one for meditation.

OK. Isn’t there one the Pope Francis wrote himself? I have heard about the environment and such. Kind of political sounding in a way.
