But you would agree that Anglo-Catholics vary in degree. Correct? As a high church Episcopalian, I have no issue with the Bishop of Rome. My issue is with the Bishop of Rome being the head of the entire Church.
Sure. What I mean is that there really is a flavor of Anglican, primarily found in the UK, qualitatively different on the Papacy from the run of the mill Anglo-Catholic. Rara avis, but not unknown.

This is somewhat the same among Lutherans but probably less so. I can’t think of anything on the scale of the Oxford Movement among Lutherans. I recall as a seminarian the League of Evangelical-Catholic Reunion that produced the Evangelical Mass which was essentially the Latin Mass only in English pre Vatican II. There were/ are other similar groups.

Interestingly, the Lutheran World Federation, which represents most Lutherans is probably as eager for reunification with Rome than any other organization but papal infallibility needs to be worked out. At the local level most Lutherans are uninterested.
