I’m not sure what the point of that was. Death masks, impressions, were commonly made of people who were thought important. President Lincoln has a similar death mask. One of the interesting things about Luther is that the last 24 hours of his life, because he was settling a dispute between two wealthy people was recording in great detail by a secretary.
