Madame Guyon

I was wondering if anyone knew who madame Guyon was and if she was a catholic Author. I have one of her books and it says it a Christian classic but I want to know what church she was from but I cant find that information. Thank you.

I have never read Mm Guyon’s books…even though I have a copy of “Union With God” in one of my boxes of books… Some older Friends…and now a resurgence among younger Friends for her books on mysticism, find them uplifting and instructive.

I may have to revisit this book and read it as morning devotion. Thanks for the reminder.
