For years I was asked to throw away a number of items from the church because they couldn’t be used either because of being outdated or broken. Some of those items I was given permission to keep (although the pastor would laugh and say it’s pointless). With those items, I’ve created a chapel in the upper part of my garage. I’m very thankful for not being wasteful and thank God that I was allowed to have kept these items. I even made a Facebook page for it. St. Claudia Procula Chapel. God bless you all. Facebook

Is this chapel for your own use only? Am wondering why there is a Facebook page for it.

I was able to see the pictures, and it is very nice. If I had a large enough house, or even land where I could put up some kind of shed or “tiny house” on the property, I’d do something like that. But be careful of all those votive lights. They could be a fire hazard. Electric tea lights, though they have a certain “cheesy factor”, would be a safe option.

I like these tiny roadside chapels you will find occasionally in the US. Here is one in the West Virginia Eastern Panhandle (God’s country!) that charmed me:

It was built before the post-Vatican II liturgical changes and has the altar situated in the traditional fashion. If I’m not mistaken, the missal on the altar is the St Pius V Tridentine Missal. (That’s been almost 25 years ago, memories get kind of hazy.)

@HomeschoolDad, I never heard of that before, despite the fact that it is 1 hour 20 minutes away! Will need to make a visit one day!
