I saw that. Another black mark for MSN. I think a letter writing campaign is in order. I am also thinking of contacting NASCAR since their fan base would probably take exception to this and they do broadcast some of the races.

so cough who bright err mirroring, sick idea was this to think its ok to broadcast that sad notion of artism:mad:

Contacting NBC will do no good. We need to find out who the advertisers will be, We can out lots of pressure on them.

OK, Madonna…so Sister rapped your knuckles in 2nd grade…get over it.
Hey! I have idea - since you’re so into Kaballah now, why not make fun of Islam at your concerts?

Absolutely unspeakable that she would insult our Lord like this. If Peter didn’t think he was worthy to be crucified the same way Jesus was, I certainly doubt that anyone, much less Madonna should even pretend to.

looks like NBC is goin to demand she pull the Crucifixion scene and she is going to pull out of ding the special. Her spokesperson says they cant understand why anyone would think it was offensive

because some don’t realize that cloth is over their eyes, so they can’t see or understand the offense.😦

I edited my response to NBC from the AFA…

Dear Chairman Wright,
I am asking that NBC, out of respect to Christians who love their Savior, not air the Madonna special. NBC’s making mockery of the death of Christ is very offensive to me. I ask you to show Christians the same respect you show other religions.
I would like to also note, I haven’t been watching much of anything on NBC lately, except for “the Office” in which I am more then willing to make the sacrifice and wait until the whole season comes on DVD. Please consider the stop of such stints in an attempt to improve your ratings. I’ve been desensitized that nothing really gets me upset, but the stuff Madonna puts out is distastful, insulting, and dreadfully yawnful.
Thank You

I do believe that executive will read and take in personalized letters, and not petitions. If people are willing to take a few moments to write out a couple of sentences that are more likely to boycott.

The Madonna concert is expected to be aired on NBC. NBC is a General Electric company. Please voice your concerns to GE, using their website www.ge.com
Maybe if enough people complain, we will have this show removed.

I feel bad for those children of hers. Are there no limits to her disrespect for others?
Madonna could do so many good things in her life with the fame she has, but this is what she chooses to do with it. Sad.

I don’t think she meant to be disrespectful. Your all just judging her on her past actions. I believe she was trying to make a good point but all most people see is the crucifix and not what was going on behind/above it.

I hope NBC does demand she not include the Crucifixion scene and if she pulls out of the special, that’s even better. I can’t stand her. her stunts were bad enough when she was younger and trying to climb the ladder to fame but now that she’s really famous and a middle aged mother and pulling this kind of stuff makes it even worse.

You’re right - she needs a new gimmick every so often to stay in the spotlight. It’s pretty pathetic - and insulting to our Lord. I don’t believe for one minute that she doesn’t know it’s offensive or that she doesn’t realize what she’s doing. I would hope that by this age she could start respecting the faith of others.

I almost think that this could be exactly the case. Her conscience and moral compass are so far out of alignment that I think to herself, she is able to justify this. She might be soooo lost that this is just the case. Either way, it is very sad that someone would go so far as to do this. (Even Peter himself refused to be crucified in the same way Jesus was!)

Anyways, I wrote NBC, kindly voicing my disgust with this ‘stunt’ and requested that they respect the Christian community by not airing it.
