I think at this time, they were living in Bethlehem, because they didnt take up residence in Nazareth until they returned from Egypt, and they didnt even leave for Egypt until after the Magi depart.
Actually, the bible says it a little differently.
Luk 2:39 And when they had performed everything according to the Law of the Lord, they returned into Galilee, to their own town of Nazareth.
Luke has them departing for Nazareth immediately after the presentation of the infant in the Temple.

The Magi either came to Bethlehem prior to the short journey to Jerusalem for the presentation, or to Nazareth prior to the flight to Egypt.

He doesn’t say immediately. His point seems to be that they returned at some point to Nazareth and that is where Jesus grew up. There could be a hiatus to Bethlehem and Egypt that he skipped over. In fact there must me. Their contemporaries would not have let the discrepancy between him and Matthew go unnoticed.

Frankincense symbolizes priesthood, not divinity.

From Haydock commentary:

Divers of the ancient Fathers take notice of the mystical signification of these offerings; that by gold was signified the tribute they paid to him, as to their king; by incense, that he was God; and by myrrh, (with which dead bodies used to be embalmed) that now he was also become a mortal man.
no- Priesthood-😃

Matthew 2. In Bethlehem. the Holy Family remained about two years. How can this statement be explained?
Did not the Wise Men from the East arrive at the birth of Jesus?
When did Joseph take the Child and his mother to Egypt?
What age was Jesus when he was brought back to Israel?
When did Herod Die?
Did not Herod also massacre children of TWO YEARS AND UNDER on another occasion,in Syria?
How can all the questions of time and place regarding “Jesus: Out of Egypt”, be seen in perspective?
