Please define what “Protestant culture” means. I am a life-long Lutheran and have never heard the term before.

If there is anything, anything that is essential, it is word and sacrament. And in the Sacrament of the Altar, Christ’s words ring clear: This is my body..
As Luther is reported to have responded, “Ist ist ist.” Is is is.

What I mean by “Protestant culture” is the culture of the majority of Protestants, that is, what the majority of Protestants say and do in comparison to other groups. “Protestant culture” is also the origin of the phrase “It’s a relationship, not a religion”; of which I would respond, “It’s both”.

Thanks for the info. There, honestly, seems little that one could say a majority of protestants do, considering the broad way in which the term is used.
I would agree with you, it is both.
