I have noticed that most Protestants do not have a crucifix in their house or Churches. Recently, I have noticed that many African Americans Protestants wear crucifixes instead of a cross. Why is that?
Good question…I’ve noticed the same thing over the years…I don’t think they would see it with the same meaning that Catholics would…maybe some just like a crucifix rather than just a cross…maybe they don’t have the same anti-Catholic prejudice as many white Protestants do
Maybe it is evolution. The practitioner’s practice is evolving or deepening and therefore the religious practices change over time? If the religion doesn’t evolve it becomes dead? Just some thoughts.
