What do you come away with from being on CAF at the end of the day?Or night 🙂 And have you gained something spiritual ? Has it helped you move towards God ?

I will weigh in on this a bit later as right now it is 0438 and my brain is shouting coffee.

I come away inspired and hopeful at the faith of fellow CAFers.

I’m saddened by the confusion out there and lifted up when others can help those who post questions.

I come away troubled by the seemingly uncaring, even mean-hearted responses that are sometimes posted. Fortunately, those seem more rare now than in the past.

I come away fulfilled when I’ve been able to respond to a post with some (what I hope would be) pertinent advice or appropriate comment (like this one).

I come away challenged to be a better person, socially and spiritually, and I always come away with more people to pray for.

^^This.

Great response.

It’s nice when you can help someone, it’s great when you gain that insight you were looking for, sparked by someone’s response. It’s also disheartening to see some of the uncharitable responses, and the bickering circular banter, original posters question totally forgotten.

I come away hopeful as well. Even though there is often disagreement, this place is still a Catholic oasis of sorts. So much of the rest of the world seems indifferent or even hostile towards Catholicism and religion in general. It is nice to connect with people here who care, and care deeply, about living their faith!

Even when I encounter people here who see things very differently than I do (especially in the world news/political forum 😠), I still think, “I bet if we lived next door to each other we would be very good neighbors.”
